Custom and Widebody Builds at Unlimited Auto

01

Widebody builds from planning to official approval

First we work out where the car is headed: looks, track width, wheel size, everyday use or track duty. From that we build a plan that treats body, suspension and wheels as one package. Not as separate steps.
02

Widening, welding and sealing arches

Arch extensions are fitted, welded, lead-loaded or filled, primed and properly sealed. Corrosion protection is never an afterthought here: a widebody that rots from the inside wasn't worth the work.
03

One-off bodykits for every make

Whether it's a well-known kit like the PANDEM widebody on our BMW 328i E46 or a bespoke piece like the one on the E36 V12 BiTurbo: we work across all makes and keep adjusting until the panel gaps and body lines are right.
04

Custom and multi-piece wheels

Every widebody needs the right wheel and tyre package: diameter, width, offset and clearance under load and at full steering lock. We measure it on the actual car instead of guessing.

OVERVIEW

Modifications and TÜV approval: parts certificates, general type approval, individual inspection

In Germany, modifications aren't a legal grey area, but they're no black magic either once you know the route. Some parts come with a general type approval (ABE), others with a parts certificate and conditions attached, and anything custom-made goes through an individual inspection. Unlimited Auto prepares the vehicle accordingly, documents the components fitted and coordinates the inspection with TÜV SÜD.

We tell you early on which route applies to your project and what that means for the build: wheel coverage, clearance, lighting, brakes and suspension all have to add up. That's the difference between a widebody conversion with proper TÜV approval in Bavaria and a car that only looks good on Instagram.

HOW WE WORK

BMW 328i E46 Breitbau „PANDEM" von Unlimited Auto mit Luftfahrwerk und dreiteiligen Felgen im Umbaustadium

A widebody is made in sheet metal, not in a catalogue

The BMW 328i E46 in the picture is getting a PANDEM kit. Between unpacking the box and a finished car come fitting, welding, aligning the gaps, priming and sealing. A kit that is only bolted on rusts from the inside.

COMMON QUESTIONS

Frequently Asked Questions About Widebody Builds and Modifications

That depends entirely on the scope. Fitting a kit along with suspension and wheels is a manageable project; a one-off with reworked bodywork is a different story altogether. Our BMW E36 V12 BiTurbo with 1,012 hp and a bespoke widebody kit took eight years. After we’ve looked at the car, we’ll give you a realistic timeframe rather than a number you’d like to hear.

As a rule, yes. Provided it’s cleanly executed and meets the requirements, such as wheel coverage, clearance and matching brake and suspension components. Depending on the part, that runs via general type approval, a parts certificate or an individual inspection. We coordinate the registration entry with TÜV SÜD.

Yes. Unlimited Auto is an independent master workshop for all makes and fits one-off bodykits across every brand. Our own projects are BMWs because that’s our passion, for customer cars, the base vehicle is entirely up to you.

Just ask us about it. We’ll tell you straight whether we think a part is up to the job. We only fit what we’d run on our own cars. If a component causes technical or legal problems, we’ll say so beforehand, not afterwards.
