1000 PS BMW E36 BiTurbo V12 Build

See what a certified master workshop can do when nothing is off-limits — from your daily driver to a 1000 PS one-off.

OVERVIEW

BMW E36 BiTurbo V12 conversion overview

This custom BMW E36 build is the sharpest proof of what Unlimited Auto does. We’re the certified independent master automotive workshop (freie KFZ-Meisterwerkstatt) and tuning shop in Weiden in der Oberpfalz, Bavaria, run by Kfz-Technikermeister Christian Klein and certified through the Handwerkskammer Regensburg. The project: a 1990s BMW E36 fitted with a BiTurbo V12 engine and a custom widebody kit, targeting 1000 PS. It’s a flagship showcase, not a customer daily driver. Why an E36? It’s light, balanced, and iconic. Drop in a twin-turbo V12 and you’re rewriting what the platform was ever built to do. That’s the whole point — the name Unlimited Auto is the programme here.

HOW WE WORK

How to build a 1000 hp engine

A 1000 PS BMW E36 BiTurbo V12 build lives or dies on the engineering underneath the headline number. Big power is easy to claim and hard to keep alive on the road. Our route runs from Chiptuning & Turboaufladung (Chiptuning bis Turboaufladung) — chip tuning through to forced induction — up to full race setup. Turbocharging a V12 means matching fuelling, cooling, and drivetrain so the whole car survives the torque, not just the dyno pull. We only fit what we’d drive ourselves. That discipline decides every part on this engine. Christian Klein managed A.T.U. workshops in Munich and Regensburg and has raced, including at the Nürburgring — so the standard isn’t ‘does it start,’ it’s ‘does it hold.’

OVERVIEW

Custom Breitbaukit widebody fabrication

The widebody on this custom BMW E36 build is fabricated, not bought off a shelf. Our Bodykits & Widebody (Breitbaukit) work means unique bodykits built for the car in front of us — for all brands. A thousand horsepower needs rubber and track width to match. The Breitbaukit widens the arches to clear serious wheels and keep the E36 planted, which is function first and looks second. This is Tuning & Performance Builds the way we mean it: metal and fitment, not stickers. Every panel has to line up, sit right, and survive real use. That’s the difference between a widebody that works and one that just photographs well.

HOW WE WORK

The build in the media and podcast

The E36 has pulled Unlimited Auto’s tuning and performance work well beyond Weiden in der Oberpfalz. According to the organizer, we’ve shown at Tuning World Bodensee in Friedrichshafen — one of Germany’s biggest tuning gatherings. The build and the shop have also drawn podcast and press coverage, and it travels further through our social channels. That reach comes from the work itself, not from marketing spend. We’d rather show than tell. A 1000 PS BiTurbo V12 in a 1990s coupe starts conversations on its own, and it puts the workshop in front of enthusiasts across Bavaria and the wider German tuning scene. The car is the pitch.

OVERVIEW

What this build proves about our capability

If we can put a BiTurbo V12 into an E36 and chase 1000 PS, your service and repair is well within reach. That’s the real message of this build. Unlimited Auto is a KFZ-Meisterwerkstatt and professional tuning shop in one. The same hands that fabricate a Breitbaukit handle Kundendienst, oil changes, brakes, diagnostics, accident repair, and maintenance for vehicles of all brands — dealership quality without the overhead. Petrol runs in our blood, and this project is what happens when you let it. We love these cars, and it shows in every build. Whether you bring a daily driver or a race project, you get the same certified, no-nonsense standard. We make what’s possible — and more.
